VENDORS

Space is available for vendors to sell arts and crafts, food and/or general merchandise.  Yakama Nation agencies, non-profit organizations and student clubs (from Heritage University, area high schools or other colleges or universities) are welcome to host informational or fundraising booths.  Venders are responsible for providing their own canopy (recommended). The university will supply 1 table and two chairs for each 10’ x 10’ space. Additional tables and chairs may be available but need to be reserved in advance. Limited electricity is available on a first-come, first-serve basis and needs to be reserved in advance.

Vendor space will be assigned prior to the day of the event. Requests for specific spaces may be accommodated on a first come, first serve basis. Set up for vendors opens at 7:30 a.m. the morning of the event. Vendors need to check in at the AIBL of HU information table the morning of the event. Reserved spaces for vendors who do not check in by 10:00 a.m. will be released and open to other vendors who wish to move to another spot.

Arts and crafts vendors need to comply with the American Indian Arts and Crafts Act. Only Native made items can be labeled as such. Non-Native made items can be sold but cannot be represented as Native made. Indian Arts and Crafts Act: https://www.doi.gov/iacb/act

Food vendors must comply with Yakima Health Department food safety rules and regulations.  A food handler card is required by the County.  Health Department officials have come to our past powwows and have enforced food safety rules.
