Our Community

Connecting Our Community

Heritage University’s commitment to the communities we serve extends beyond its mission of providing quality education for students from the surrounding area. Here, a focus on community service is woven through the culture and classrooms. Faculty and staff members proudly serve on the boards of directors and committees of many nonprofit agencies.

At Heritage, we believe in building a better community.

Scholarships are as essential to students’ academic success as quality programs and dedicated faculty.  With 95% of Heritage students depending upon financial aid to make college accessible, scholarships bridge the gap left after financial aid is applied.  Contact the Office of Advancement for more information.

Making A Difference

Heritage University Language Center

Heritage University Language Center (HULC) was started in 2014 to assist with the efforts in language revitalization, preservation and promotion.

HULC started different projects in the community, including:

  • An Ichishkin-focused 2- and 3-year-old classroom at the Heritage University Early Learning Center
  • Opened all of the college-level classes to the community

Since 1982, Heritage has created successful face-to-face college degree pathways for more than 8,000 degree recipients in rural Eastern Washington.
