DESCRIPTION:**CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE**\nWe hope to offer additional sessions given the tax filing day extension to July 15.\n \nAnother tax season is here and Heritage Enactus will again provide free income tax preparation through its Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. \nVITA will take place the following Saturdays in the Community Training Business Center (Rooms 2212 and 2214) from 9:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.: \nFebruary 1\, 8\, 22 and 29 \nMarch 7\, 21 and 28 \nApril 4. \nVITA will be closed on February 15 and March 14. \nTo make an appointment\, call 211 and follow the prompts. Space and walk-ins will be limited. \n  \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:**Out of an abundance of caution surrounding COVID-19\, this event has been postponed**\nHeritage University is an institution founded by women and where women make up 70% of our student body; at Heritage\, we are all about empowering women to make an impact in the world. 2020 is the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment\, which guaranteed women the right to vote. To commemorate this\, we are bringing a panel of women leaders from across the state for two events which will educate and inspire our students and community. \nThis free lunchtime event will feature a panel discussion on civic engagement. Panelists include: Washington State Court of Appeals Judge Rebecca Pennell\, student and former Campaign Manager for the Yakima County Democratic Party Sheyanne Lewis\, Health Care Consultant and Heritage Board Member Gail Weaver\, Nuestra Casa Executive Director and Heritage alumna Caty Padilla. \nThe League of Women Voters and US Census will be on site to provide voter registration resources and information about the 2020 Census. \nLunch will be provided. \nFor more information on the ticketed evening event at the Yakima Valley Museum\, please visit www.heritage.edu/empowher. \n
