Earn college credits while still in high school.
Designed specifically for academically advanced high school seniors and at times juniors as well, this program offers qualified students the opportunity to take free college-level course on the Heritage University campus. The credits and experience you earn will give you a head start on your path to a bachelor's degree or a rewarding career. Quite simply, the New Horizons Program at Heritage is dedicated to helping talented Yakima Valley students like you to realize their full potential as future leaders in the community and throughout the world.
Do I Qualify?
High School Seniors who have 2 letters of support from a principal, counselor, or teacher and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher may take the full-credit classes free of charge. Juniors can also apply but they will need a third letter of support from an official at their high school.
At our discretion, students below a 3.0 cumulative GPA may also be eligible to participate if they submit a written personal statement with their application materials explaining why their GPA does not reflect their true abilities.
