You’ll journey with friends
Heritage facilitates your success using an advanced education model developed in collaboration with ESD 105 through special funding from the U.S. Department of Education.
In the program, you and two fellow candidates will work as co-teachers alongside an experienced district elementary teacher. Together, you’ll instruct and follow a single group of kids as they move through grade levels. The bonds formed by peers and students will create a powerful teaching and learning environment that benefits all.
In addition, the program puts you in contact with content specialists able to offer expert advice in multiple fields, be it math, behavioral development, lesson delivery or other disciplines. You will get immediate feedback and redirection on any technique being applied in the classroom.
The path is clear
The Heritage105 Bachelor of Arts in Education program takes just four semesters to complete. Each week you’ll spend four days teaching in the classroom and one day attending an intense seminar that adopts a case-study learning approach.
The program will also immerse you in a diversity of language, income and ethnic backgrounds. This valuable experience, combined with more time spent teaching, will make you a highly desirable job candidate statewide.
