About the Program

The English and Humanities program gives students an educational foundation for building a successful career or continuing their education through graduate studies. Students learn critical thinking as well as the oral and written communications skills that are in high demand for professionals in a wide variety of industries. English and humanities majors are found in business, politics, media, entertainment, education, law and more.

The English and Humanities department at Heritage provides much of the liberal arts core required courses including: English, communications, history, philosophy, religion, and music and dance. Students learn about world, gender, and cultural views, values, and experiences that build a foundation upon which they develop their own creative identities. This focus on multiculturalism is woven throughout the coursework in all areas of study.
