To raise the awareness level of Chicanas and Chicanos, faculty, staff, and community-at-large in the Yakima Valley about the social, cultural, economic, political, and philosophic issues that pertain to the Chicano community with emphasis on Indigenous heritage and the plight/struggle for the Mexican/Mexican-American/Chicano worker whose back and arms have been providing the main labor force in the Yakima Valley for over fifty years.
