Heritage University
 National Board Preparation
Minimize

The Heritage M.Ed. program to prepare for National Board Certification is aimed at accomplished teachers who aspire to further their careers and increase their hiring potential.

Success is in reach
Heritage makes continuing education fit your busy life. The program is conveniently offered in Tri-Cities and Yakima. In addition, classes are held in the evening, letting you continue to work while completing the program.

You’ll journey with friends
Heritage facilitates student success through its use of the cohort model. This study arrangement lets you and your fellow classmates advance and work collectively throughout the program. It helps you build a supportive network that encourages collaborative discussions, ideas, and feedback that continues long after graduation.

The path is clear
Students seeking the M.Ed. degree generally attend five semesters to complete the 32-credit requirement. During that time, you’ll build a portfolio of course work
to be submitted to the National Board Accreditation Committee for evaluation upon graduation. This evaluation, combined with your score from the proficiency test administered by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, will be used by the Committee to determine your certification approval.
