The Heritage M.Ed. emphasizing Bilingual Education (BLE) or English as a Second Language (ESL) is for those who anticipate providing educational support to K-12 students with limited fluency in English.
Success is in reach
Heritage makes continuing education fit your busy life. The BLE and ESL programs are offered in Toppenish with classes that meet in the evenings and on weekends so you can still work while earning your degree.
The path is clear
The master’s degree program requires the completion of 34 credits, which takes as little as five semesters. Students seeking either a BLE or ESL (ELL) endorsement separate from the degree need 16 credits. The BLE and ESL programs are taught by dedicated educators who are also experienced practitioners in the field. You will learn the latest educational theory and methodology, which can be applied directly to your own classroom.
The program includes an intensive, supervised practicum that provides hands on training to help you build a strong portfolio of ESL and/or BLE experience.
