Heritage University students participate in a variety of clubs and activities on campus. Social activities on the campus generally arise from student interest and enthusiasm. The Student Life Office has an open door policy, and students who wish assistance in planning and financing student activities are encouraged to bring their suggestions to the Associated Student Body (ASB), any of the student clubs, club advisors, or the Student Life Office.

Fitness Room

The Fitness Room is located in the basement of the Annex building on the Toppenish campus. It is open to students, faculty, and staff of Heritage University.

The Fitness Room offers weight-lifting equipment, an exercise bicycle, and NordicTrack cross-country ski machine. Contact the Student Life Office for a current schedule.

STEP-UP

STEP UP is a parent education program that is open to all students and families within Yakima County that have a child under the age of 6. Through our program families have access to personalized home visits, receive information on local resources, and can participate in Parent Groups. Topics that are covered are brain development, child literacy and parent bonding.

Associated Student Body

All currently enrolled full-time students are members of the Associated Student Body and may participate in the election of representatives to its chief governing board, the Associated Student Government.

The responsibilities of Student Government are:

Student activity fees help support a variety of student activities planned and organized by Student Government. Student activities are planned to provide a broad range of inexpensive events to give students opportunities to socialize with other students.

SIFE

SIFE (Students In Free Enterprise) is a global, non-profit organization that is open to all students of Heritage University. It is literally changing the world through highly dedicated student teams on more than 1600 university campuses in 40 countries. SIFE offers these students the opportunity to develop leadership, teamwork and communication skills through learning, practicing and teaching the principles of free enterprise, thereby improving the standard of living for millions in the process. Guided by distinguished faculty advisors and supported by businesses around the globe, SIFE Teams teach important concepts through educational outreach projects, including market economics, entrepreneurship, personal and financial success, and business ethics to better themselves, their communities and their countries.

The SIFE experience enables university students to reach their full potential by helping others reach theirs. Students acquire teamwork, leadership, communication and project management skills in a unique way, not typically gained through other university programs. This total SIFE experience equips SIFE alumni to develop into successful entrepreneurs and top recruits for leading companies, large and small, such as Wal-Mart, KPMG, Walgreen's, Unilever, RadioShack, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Coors Brewing and dozens more.
