II. PREPARATION REQUIREMENTS FOR MIDDLE-LEVEL EDUCATION (Levels 4-9)

Bachelor of Arts in Education Degree. Major: Middle-Level Education (Levels 4-9)

This baccalaureate degree program is designed to provide focused preparation for students planning to teach at the middle school (4-9) grade level. Students complete the General University Course Requirements, professional education core courses (listed above), specialty methods courses, and selected concentration and supporting courses.

Upon satisfactory completion of all requirements for a B.A. in Education degree and all certification requirements, including successful completion of any required pedagogical assessments, Heritage University recommends the student to the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction for approval of all endorsements earned, as well as the Washington State Residency Teacher Certificate.
