CENTER FOR A NEW WASHINGTON

The Center for a New Washington extends the academic resources of Heritage University out into the larger community in order to improve quality of life.  Through research projects, visiting speakers, forums, and seminars, the Center focuses on challenges related to economic development, K-12 education, health care, energy and the environment, effective government, and families.  As the name indicates, while valuing the heritage of the region's diverse populations, the Center emphasizes the future.  It is a place where creative practitioners and researchers meet to explore innovative and practical solutions to challenges faced by our state and region.  As the University helps build brighter futures for its students, the Center helps build the brightest possible future for residents of the region.
