Heritage Social Work Program's Most Recent Assessment Findings Using 2001 EPAS
Program Objective
- Prepare graduates for generalis social work practice with client systems of various sizes and types from micro to macro.
Expected Outcomes
Students demonstrate an understanding of the history and profession of social work and its current structures and issues.
Students demonstrate ability to work effectively with individuals, families, organizations and within communities.
Students demonstrate ability to use communication skills differently across client populations, colleagues, and community.
Method of Measurement
Practicum instruction evaluates how well student completed practicum goals and objectives.
Student paper on history and role of social work.
Role Play, Video Taping Self Evaluation and Evaluated by Instructor
Student written in-class papers on social work practice knowledge and skills.
Findings
Eighty five to ninety percent of our Students received an evaluation of very good to satisfactory by practicum instructors.
Eighty five to ninety percent of students scored 80% of better on role play exercise and history/role of social work and practice skills and knowledge assignments.
