The Heritage ProTeach Portfolio Support program is for teachers who already have Residency Teacher certificates and need to fulfill the Washington requirement for second-level certification.

It helps you build a supportive network that encourages collaborative discussions, ideas, and feedback that continues long after graduation.
The path is clear
The Master of Education degree in Organizational Leadership with ProTeach Portfolio Support is a braod-based program of advanced preparation of master teachers anticipating a career of leadership in and beyond the classroom, and /or educators who wish to pursue graduate study in their specialty area beyond the bachelor's degree.
Degree requirements include 26 core credits in the areas of educational foundations. These include:
- Effective teaching and classrom leadership, focused on student leadning, research and best practice
- Parental collaboration and responsiveness to diverse community interests
- School improvement planning
- Educational technology
To provide additional opportunity for professional growth and development, a 6-credit segment is designed for the residency certificate for teachers who need to obtain professional certification. Faculty will work intentionally with students to assist them in meeting the portfolio expectations of the state's ProTeach Portfolio.
