Taking the Science Prize
A Heritage environmental science major was among the award winners at the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Annual Meeting in February. Sophomore Daylen Isaac presented an academic poster outlining his research on the potential benefits of using hardwood biochar on agricultural fields to filter out sulfates from ground water. His work received the honorable mention award in the Environment and Ecology category. He was one of nineteen students recognized at the event.
